Frequently Asked Questions
-
We’re located right in the Tontine Mall on the bottom level right next to Elizabeth Nails Spa. Look for our sign in the big clock tower!
-
The Tontine Mall has a lot for off street parking, but if the lot is full, there is plenty of on street parking on Maine St.
-
We are primarily an appointment only barbershop, but welcome walk-ins if we have the time in our schedules.
-
We absolutely do. We don’t list a separate kids’ cut in our services because we want to give them the same attention to detail we give to our adult clients. Just schedule your child’s appointment the same way you would based on what they are looking for in a hair cut and leave a note in the appointment letting us know it’s for your child. We request they are accustomed to haircuts and are able to sit relatively still and quietly as to not disturb our other guests, with the understanding we all have good and bad days.
-
Of course! We understand your schedules can be busy and having consistent haircut appointments saves a lot of stress and hassle. Just book your first appointment and let your barber know you want to do recurring appointments and they will work with you to set that up.
-
We encourage all of our clients to reach out to us either by phone or email to show us any reference photos they may have to help us give you the best haircut that you desire. Additionally, when booking an appointment, there is a spot for any notes you may have about your haircut you usually get or a new one you’re aiming for!

We are very flexible with cancelations and fully understand that sometimes life just happens. We ask that you cancel your appointment with us within 12 hours of your scheduled service. In the event of a no-call, no-show, or late cancelation within 12 hours of your appointment, we do charge a fee equal to the services scheduled. We are available by email, phone call, and messenger. It is recommended to reach out as many ways as possible to ensure your cancelation is received. Additionally, if you are 15 minutes late or more to your appointment, our barbers reserve the right to refuse service and treat it as a late cancelation or no show.
-
We ask for a credit card for two reasons. We want to make the check out process as easy as possible for returning clients and having your card on file saves you time and peace of mind in the event you forget it at home. Of course, that doesn’t mean you have to pay with a card. If you’re more into cash, you can always pay for your services with cash. The other reason is insurance for ourselves in the event of a no-show cancelation. When someone doesn’t show up to their appointment or fails to inform us of a cancelation, it costs us money and time that could have been given to someone else looking for a haircut or beard trim.
-
We totally understand that, we assure you we do not save any credit card information that isn’t requested by clients who wish to keep a card on file. That being said, you’re always more than welcome to take your chances on a walk-in appointment, and we will accommodate you if we have the availability.
-
We accept all major credit cards, Apply Pay, Google Pay, and cash. We do not accept checks.
-
Everyone at Chuffed Barbershop is fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus. If you are feeling unwell prior to your appointment, please let us know and we will do our best to reschedule you for a later date.
-
We offer discounts for active military and veterans, as well as for our senior clients. Let us know which of these categories you fall under at your appointment so we can discount your service!

Every day, barbershops and salons generate waste that could be mitigated. Between the neck strips, popsicle sticks, wax, hair product bottles, and even the hair itself, they generate trash that ends up in a landfill. At Chuffed Barbershop, we took the time to figure out ways to avoid generating any more trash than is absolutely necessary. We compost all the hair, we don’t use popsicle sticks for waxing or dispensing of hair product, we only use washable neck strips and towels, and we sourced high efficiency washing machines that use as little energy and water as possible to clean our products.
-
Our esthetician has her own private room because we know that getting waxed can be a vulnerable experience for the first time. Sara does an amazing job at making everyone feel comfortable and relaxed during the process.
